Fishing at Barns Lane Fishing Lake

Rules


Anyone breaking these rules will be expelled from the lake & club


No persons, other than members, their authorized guests, water owners and their authorized guests, are permitted to fish club waters without relevant and current permits. 


No fish to be taken away from club waters, if seen please report to club and EA on 0800 80 70 60 


Members approach club waters by authorized footpaths only. 


Please be considerate when parking in high density housing areas. 


Dogs are allowed but must be well controlled and not a nuisance to other users. Dogs that are walked in enclosed waters shall be always on leads, no exceptions. 


No open fires or barbeques. Shielded stoves must be used with care to avoid fire risk. 


9. No trapping or shooting of other game within Walsall councils Greenspaces. 


No camping allowed on club waters. Night fishing (Booking Only) in proper fishing shelters, umbrellas, or bivvies’ only. Only registered club members will be allowed to do night fishing!


All members must abide by The Environment Agency, Walsall Council and The Angling Trust regulations and rules. All members to always have fishing membership cards and EA rod licenses on them, and will show them when requested by EA Bailiffs, Club Bailiffs, and Walsall Council employees. 


A maximum of 3 rods may be fished at one time, with relevant rod licenses 


No live baits to be used on any waters controlled by or fished by club members or guests. No dead baits are to be brought to any venue, to prevent cross contamination of fish stocks and / or wildlife. 


No baited rod to be left unattended at any time (as per EA Rules). 


No organization other than the club shall run competitions on club waters without prior permission. 


No  use of boats of any description, or any inflatable device for any purpose unless prior permission and a relevant Risk Assesments are furnished to the Healthy Spaces Team. 


Juniors are deemed under the age of 16 years of age. 


Whilst the tactic of fishing to the opposite bank, is permitted, any angler doing so must reel in and re-cast to not more than halfway across the lake/pool, should the opposite bank or swim become occupied, irrespective of any amount of prior baiting, position of baits, duration of the baits in place and/or fish feeding

 

There is no closed season, however water will be closed when larger fish are seen to be spawning at the discretion of the club, and a notice to this effect will be posted to all club members. and on notice boards website & social media


Venues may be closed for club matches. Match dates and start times are published or listed on the website, always check before planning a trip!


must use a suitable unhooking mat on all club waters. Sizes that should be used are - small 18’ x 2ft for match/pleasure fishing and large 2ft x 4ft min if targeting specimen fish. 


Any junior member under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by a responsible person, always. 


Cars are parked at all venues, at the owner’s risk and We do not 

Take any responsibility for loss or damage. 


No Swimming or paddling in the lake


No motorcycles or E-bikes 


Barbless hooks only 


No floating baits 


No bait boats, no cat/dog food or nuts to be used 


Do not hold fish with cloths or rags 


Antisocial behavior will not be tolerated
